For me, Summer 2008 was full of awesome opportunities.
The summer kicked off with my first photo shoot with Lance Tilford with Tamara Tungate as my makeup and hair stylist. I was so pleased with how professional they were to work with and how fun it was to be in front of the camera! I can't wait until I work with them again!
The next exciting event for me was Star Systems Talent Competition Nationals in Nashville, TN. My dance studio did very well, and by the end of the week, we had over 12 dances in the superstar dance championships across all of the age divisions! We had a great time dancing our hardest to beat our personal bests! On the same trip, I met one of my heroes, Idina Menzel, at the restaurant I was eating at in downtown Nashville! She was so sweet and I was so excited to meet her!
A few weeks later I went to Florida with my family and had an awesome time with not only my family but with all of the friends I met. It was an unforgettable trip for me.
The first weekend in August was when I competed in the National American Miss Pageant. I had an awesome time meeting new friends and seeing all of my old friends again! This year, I won talent, placed as 2nd runner up in casual wear modeling, 3rd runner up in acting and placed as a top 10 semi finalist to the queens title out of 126 girls! The weekend ended with two of my best friends (who are sisters), being crowned the 2008-2009 Missouri Jr Teen and Teen Queens. They will represent Missouri well at Nationals!

My summer ended with a bang when I had the opportunity to be in 2 National Ad Campaigns. The first being for the NFL, and the second was for UPS. It was so much fun taking part in the photo shoots and being in the commercials!
My summer was more than I ever could have hoped for it to be and I can only hope that the rest of my year will be even better!
